9 KILLED DURING CLASH BETWEEN MILITANTS AND SOLDIERS IN RIVERS STATE

Following a fierce gun battle between militants and the Nigerian military in Bori village of Rivers state yesterday February 23rd, a number of nine people have been reported dead.
Residents claim the military were on a retaliatory mission after some of their men were killed by militants in the area on Monday February 22nd.
There have been unrest in the area since Sunday after militants burnt down the campaign office of Senator Magnus Abe whom they accused of working against one of their former leaders popularly known as Solomon Ndigbara aka Solo.
