Some south Africans are angry because Nigeria allegedly made DSTV remove transgender show.

Multi choice says it will no longer broadcast "I am cait," a reality TV show about the transgender journey of caitlyn jenner, previously known as Bruce jenner, in order to abide by regulatory environment in Africa, an because of concerns raised by some of its customers. 

South Africa's channel 24 entertainment site reports that th Nigerian broadcasting commission (NBC) allegedly ordered that the show be pulled, effectively censoring it for African viewers and this I making some South Africans annoyed.

Three members of the Foxes’ title-challenging squad have been named among the candidates to be crowned the Premier League’s best footballer in the 2015/16 campaign.Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante have been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award thanks to their starring roles in Leicester City’s remarkable Premier League title bid.

Real Madrid Agree €40m Transfer For Chelsea Star

Real Madrid have agreed a €40 million [£32m] deal to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea, according to El Chiringuito de Jugones.

The Pastor of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), TB Joshua has come out to deny reports that recently released Panama reports indicted him as one of the few Nigerians that operate a company in Panama.

Premium Times broke the news on their website that Joshua and his wife, Evelyn, owned Chillon Consultancy Limited, a company incorporated on June 20, 2006 at the British Virgin Island. TB Joshua is the second Nigerian cleric to make the Panama papers list.

10 Things We Learnt From Wizkid Versus Linda Ikeji saga

So earlier today singer, Wizkid attacked popular blogger, Linda Ikeji on her Instagram page, for publishing a story about the quit notice he got on his home in Lekki, Lagos. A couple of hours after the attack, Linda Ikeji fired back at the singer for his ‘childish behavior’.

Well, here are the things we learnt from the saga so far:

1. Wizkid is not 25 years old….

“And no, darling, you’re not 25! We know your real age! Continue to have an amazing career while I watch and continue to celebrate you. Kisses”

2. Wizkid’s Porsche Panamera which he bought in 2013 for a reported N14M was bought on lease aka hire purchase.
Oh and by the way, did I mention that his Porsche car is also on hire purchase? Oh shit, I just mentioned that!

3. Linda Ikeji doesn’t get mad when peeps mock her for being single at her age..she is used to it.

“So my darling little ‘friend’ Wizkid came on my IG page this morning to blast me for writing yesterday that he was given quit notice at the Lekki home he claimed he bought some years ago, which he actually rented. He threatened to beat me up…called me an ugly old bitch…(I’m ugly? lol) says I don’t have a man (crying over that..) and called my mum a loser…(what a child).”

Football world in shock as Messi agrees €500m Real Madrid deal

The Barcelona legend will depart Camp Nou this summer after the Spanish champions’ greatest rivals activated his €250 million buy-out clause.

Lionel Messi has left Barcelona in turmoil by agreeing to join Real Madrid at the end of the season in a record-breaking five-year deal that will be worth around half a billion euros.

The Argentine forward, winner of five Ballon d’Or awards and considered one of the greatest players of all time, will cost Madrid €250m to buy and approximately the same again in agent fees, commissions and wages.

The move was announced directly before Saturday’s Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu in what appears to have been a deliberate move to destabilise the Liga leaders.

Messi, who joined Barcelona as a 13-year-old, explained that money was the only factor driving his move.

“With Financial Fair Play, Barcelona could not give me what I wanted and deserved,” the 28-year-old said at the pre-match press conference.

“I recommended they fund my contract by selling the Camp Nou, but for some reason they valued the club more than me.

“When I learned this, I was heartbroken and our relationship was finished.

“A man of my status should have a 2000-metre long mega-yacht, staffed and powered at all times. Like [Roman] Abramovich. The purchase and operating costs alone demand that I take home €50m per year after tax. Minimum. Is that too much to ask?”

However, Goal correspondent Garry McGarry obtained exclusive information hinting at other reasons for the move.

APC Picks Their Candidate For 2019 Presidential Election

 Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus endorsed Buhari at a meeting held on Tuesday night

– A source privy to the situation in the party revealed why the caucus made the endorsement before 2019 presidential election.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the national caucus on March 23, revealed their candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

Vanguard reports that the national caucus comprising serving and former governors, the National Assembly leadership, and selected members of the national executive of the party at a meeting held on Tuesday night endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari to run for a second term in office.

According to them, the endorsement of Buhari for a second term would help to stabilise the polity considering the 16-year rot inherited from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The caucus at the meeting constituted a committee to resolve all pending issues in the party among other pressing issues agreed on.

It was gathered that the caucus agreed that President Buhari should be allowed to seek a second term, though some of the caucus members also noted that it was too early to kick start a second term campaign for the president.

It was further learnt that the matter was brought to the fore in a bid to curb restiveness among some party leaders, who have been split over their 2019 political ambition.

The development is attributed to the problems that led to the crisis in the National Assembly and also the inability of the party to inaugurate its board of trustees (BoT) till date.

A source privy to the situation in the party said: “With Buhari contesting in 2019, those who have been squabbling will now have to queue up behind him and put the interest of the party ahead.” In a related development, senators elected on the platform of the party on Tuesday night also decided to work together.

In a meeting held in Abuja, the senators vowed to unify themselves in order not to misplace their influence to the more united PDP caucus in the house.

However, the national chairman of the party, chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who spoke with journalists at the end of the meeting, clarified that there was no threat against his position.

He dismissed reports of pressure on him to resign his office, saying:

“I am not aware that my office is under threat. I led the party to the State House. It amazes me, occasionally it annoys me. That is one of the things you have to endure when you are in a position like mine.”

The national chairman confirmed that a committee was set up to resolve all the crises in the party. He urged Nigerians to give the party time to deliver, assuring them that the administration would pick up after the 2016 budget is passed.

I Feel Insecure When I See Women More Successful Than Me’ – Toolz

Popular On-Air–Personality Toolz Oniru, yesterday took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the gender equality bill thrown out by the Nigerian Senate at the last plenary session.

“A lot of women were appalled when the gender equality bill was thrown out, but after talking about it extensively on radio and everywhere else, I came to the conclusion that we as Nigerian (African) women have a lot to do ourselves before things can change positively,” the OAP said.

“What is it about our society that makes tearing each other down the first thing a lot of women think to do?” She asked, and then she launched into a story about how she feels insecure when she see women who are more successful.

“But I’ve learnt to change that energy,” she added. “Now I get so inspired…I think if she can do great things, so can I….I think ‘she’s doing great, so I better get my sh*t together and move up this success ladder.”
